This Titanium tube is part of the ASU (Air Start Unit) of an Antonov AN-124.
The connection to the tube was worn and had to be replaced by a donor connection.
To preserve the material properties of Titanium, the material has been thoroughly cleaned and welded in our Purge Chamber.
This means that the Titanium ASU tube can last for years and the Antonov can get back into the air.
